Meet Our Staff

Senior Pastors: Dave and Deborah Ledingham

Dave and Deborah have been members of Family of Christ for thirty years. Dave has been involved in leadership as an elder for many years. Both Dave and Deborah have a strong interest in missions and have spent time doing mission work in Guatemala, the Philippines, China, and Thailand. In addition, Deborah has taught in the local Christian High School for the past 25 years, and served for a time as a volunteer hospital chaplain. Dave has a desire to see people growing in their relationship with the Lord, experiencing His healing touch in their lives, and being equipped and released to do the work of ministry to which they have been called. Dave and Deborah have two grown married children and six grandchildren.

Associate Pastors: Robb & Phyllis Burkee

Robb and Phyllis have been members of Family of Christ for 13 years. Robb has been been the leader of recovery ministries (Bridge Street Church) for much of that time. Both Robb and Phyllis share a passion to see God touch those with hurts, habits and hang-ups. Phyllis is very invovled in mentoring women, healing prayer and SOZO. They believe God has called them to deepen their love relationship with Him and embrace a lifestyle that demonstrates the full power of God. They have three children.

Associate Pastors: Sam & Cheryl Buitendorp

Sam and/or Cheryl have been members of Family of Christ for more than 32 years (although they've spent time away for schooling and a life of community). They are both involved in work with teens who've made poor choices. They both share a heart for prayer and seeing God manifested in peoples lives. Cheryl helps lead the Women's Small Group. She also is part of the healing team, SOZO and Life Skills. Sam leads a small group "Purity Issues" for guys. He is also a Nehemiah board member. They have three grown children and two grandchildren.

Children's Pastors: Mary and Denny Lechowicz

Denny and Mary have been members of Family of Christ for seven years. They share a love for children and have been actively involved in children's ministries for many years. Mary stepped into the position of Children's Pastor in August of 2009. Her vision in this ministry is to teach children not only foundational truths about God while they are at such an impressionable age, but to help them to develop a deeper personal relationship with Him as well. Mary's desire is that each child understands how special he or she is to God and that He has great plans for them. Denny and Mary have been married for 20 years and have three daughters.

Worship Pastor: Jim Valade

Jim has been involved with worship for over 26 years both leading worship in the local church as well as on the mission field with Youth With A Mission in numerous countries. He staffed and pioneered the School of Worship in the Philippines with YWAM and has conducted worship seminars and taught on worship in the US, Australia, Thailand & Dominican Republic in addition to Discipleship Training School (DTS) & Missions Motivators School. Jim’s desire is to bring people into an encounter with the Jesus Christ in worship and impart biblical truths about worship through teaching.

Administrative Assistant: Rita Osborn

Brad and Rita Osborn along with their children, Brenna and Ashley have been attending Family of Christ Church since 2003. Rita actually loves going into the church office each day to help run the office, but mainly to share the love of Jesus to everyone who comes in or calls. For years she has been pursuing intimacy with God and desires in her life to expose people to His presence and grace. Her passion is to know the Father intimately and to bring Him to everyone she comes in contact with. She loves our church family and is involved in many areas.
